As a Mechanic at Pave Black Asphalt, you’ll work on the backbone of the operation — our fleet. From dump trucks to skid steers to pavers and trailers, you’ll keep the equipment safe, reliable, and ready to roll. We’re looking for someone who knows how to turn a wrench, track down a problem, and get it fixed without excuses. Whether you’re in the shop or out in the field, you’ll be the one the crew counts on. |

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Weld and fabricate as needed for small fixes and reinforcement
- Maintain parts inventory and track service records
- Respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites as needed
- Keep shop clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of mechanic or diesel tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of heavy construction equipment and diesel trucks
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Welding and fabrication skills a plus
- CDL preferred or willing to obtain (we can help)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, reliable work
- Willing to work early hours or occasional weekends during peak season
💵 Pay & Perks:
- $24–$32/hr, based on experience and certifications
- Weekly pay with overtime opportunities
- Full-time, year-round position
- Paid holidays, PTO, and retirement plan options

- Heated shop, supportive foremen, and well-maintained equipment
- Opportunity to grow into Shop Foreman or Fleet Manager roles
